- 1 lb. mushrooms (fresh morel, quickly soaked to remove any hiding critters and bottoms of stems removed)

- asparagus (leftover, if using fresh, use 1 bunch, blanched and add lemon juice)
- ground black pepper (fresh, to taste)
- 1 lb. pasta (dry mafalde, cooked to your preference)
