  • water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup milk (warm)
  • 1/4 cup onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 bay leaf (small)
  • paprika
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

    Directions

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
    2. Cook the macaroni in water according to the instructions on the package, al dente.
    3. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the flour and brown for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Slowly add the milk, and continue to stir. Add the onion, bay leaf, and paprika.
