    I used uncooked sausage. I cooked the sausage first, set it aside to cut while sautéed pepper, onion, mushrooms, frozen riced cauliflower and garlic in the same pan I cooked the sausage in. 2 bonuses: all residue from the sausage came loose from the pan making it easy to clean and 2 the cauliflower absorbed the sausage flavor. This is perfect for my husband and son who do not like cauliflower. 😀
