It's a nice base to start with. I always add things to my taste. I used malt vinegar instead of white. A dash of clove and a little more smoke and water.

I used this as a base to convert my favorite high carb sweet n spicy BBQ sauce to low carb. I used 1/2 cup low Carb Maple Syrup instead of sweetener, added cloves, cinnamon and celery seed and replaced 1/4 cup white vinegar with 1 cup water. turned out pretty close.
