- 500 grams pork belly (blanched in boiling water, sliced in 1/2" thick wide pieces)
- 1 bulb garlic (sliced)
- 2 cms ginger (long, thinly sliced)
- 2 Tbsp. five spice powder
- 75 grams rock sugar
- 200 mL dark soy sauce (+ sweet soy sauce, to get the dark, the dark soy sauce over here is not the thick dark type, that's why I add more, you may need to adjust this if you are using the thick dark soy sauce)
- 5 liters water
- 400 mL balsamic vinegar (dark)
- 100 grams tapioca flour
- 80 grams corn flour
- 1 dash pepper
- 1 tsp. salt (to taste)
- 3 eggs (lightly beaten)
- 3 hard boiled eggs
- 3 pieces curds (dry bean, snipped into small pieces)
- 500 grams rice vermicelli (or you can use noodles, depends on how many bowls you need to make, this is for four)
- minced garlic (some)
- sambal paste
- eggs (braised, halves)
- pork belly (braised, sliced into small pieces)
