Description
Move over potato skins — these extra-crispy tater tot cups are sure to be a hit at your next get-together. Just bake frozen tots in a mini muffin pan, give 'em a smash, and doctor them up with all the fixin’s, including cheese, sour cream, bacon, and green onions. What’s not to love? The recipe, which makes 24 tater tot cups, is a Yummly original created by Ashley Strickland Freeman.

- cooking oil spray (or a little vegetable oil)
- 48 frozen tater tots (about half of a 32-oz. bag)
- 3 slices bacon
- 2/3 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (divided)
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1 green onion (large; sliced)
- hot sauce (optional)

Directions
- Preheat oven oven to 450°F. Coat a 24-well mini muffin pan (or two 12-well pans) with cooking spray. Place 2 tater tots in each mini muffin cup.
- Bake tater tots for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook bacon in a large frying pan over medium heat, turning occasionally, until browned and crispy, 12-14 minutes. Drain on paper towels and crumble.

These are great I’ve made them in a mini muffin tin and a regular size one with 3 tots as a side dish. My family likes them so much they eat any leftovers cold during the night so they’re gone by morning.

It was the favorite for the ladies get together. I made one batch, I should’ve doubled it!

Great! I used regular size muffin pan and used 4 tater tots per cup and ham instead of bacon. They were excellent!
