Nikki, you weren't kidding when you state "These potatoes will be the star of the dinner table."! We are a multi-generational household of eight and EVERYONE loved these! My son-in-law makes some of the best and he even commented that these were incredible. I did not substitute anything and served them with mini meatloaf and green beans. Excellent! Thanks for posting this recipe. I will definitely be making these again as these are now my favorite mashed potatoes.
