My kid and toddler are both allergic to dairy, so this was a great recipe to try a comfort food I remember. Subbed red potatoes for parsnip, added a little more poultry seasoning to taste, and used fresh thyme but the fresh sage was too strong for my 18 month old, so I used dried sage and it still came out great. The fresh thyme really bumped it up a notch. Agree with other review about needing a bit more flour, so I’ll tweak that next time. Took a long time to thicken up as is and wished I had added more. I did add some frozen white and gold corn to leftover filling and extra peas and blended it for the little one, while we had the pot pie. It was a huge hit all around, and it’s great when I can find recipes that span everyone’s palate and dietary needs in one meal. The littlest one cried when he ran out of the filling, lol, so I’ll definitely be making it again.

So good! I found it needed some more seasoning but that’s easy enough to add! I also think I should’ve added more flour but it tasted so good.

i used dry seasonings instead of fresh . i ised a cup of red potaotes i stead of parnips. and pastry puff instead of phyllo dough (i couldnt find the phyllo dough). i used a bag of frozen of mixed peas and carrots. everyhing was good!
