- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon (divided)
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg (fresh)
- 1 cup low fat buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 3 Tbsp. canola oil (or vegetable oil or coconut oil)
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 cups diced apples (fine, about 2 medium apples peeled and cored., I used my chopper to get them fine diced)
- 1/4 cup golden raisins
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
