somewhat greasy and not quit the right consistency. taste want bad, but wouldn't make this recipe again

This was great but I'm going to try a few modifications when I make it next time - half the butter -this thing was dripping all over the waffle maker! But as my hubby said, that's probably what made it taste so good. Also, it takes about 30 minutes to an hour to rise so can't understand how this recipe says it's 50 minutes total time. I made it the day of and it was great and I saved some batter in the fridge for the next day and that was great so I definitely plan to prep the night before to save breakfast time in the morning.
