- 2 cups lentils
- 1 small potato
- 2 carrots
- 1 onion (large)
- 1 celery stick
- pepper flakes (crushed chilly)
- 2 tsp. pepper (paste)
- 1/2 tomato paste (a teaspoon of)
- 2 tsp. vegetable stock
- 1 pinch black pepper

Directions
- Start by washing the lentils with warm water until the water becomes clear. Then let the lentils soak for 10-15 minutes.
- Cut the potato into small cubes and grate the carrots. Fill a large pot with water and add the lentils, potatoes and carrots and boil for 20-30 minutes.
- Cut the onion and celery into small pieces. Then add them to a small pot with a few splashes of olive oil and let it fry for a few minutes.
