- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp. smoked paprika
- 2 tsp. onion flakes
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 cup vegetable stock
- 1/4 cup hemp milk (or your favorite unsweetened plant milk)
- 1/2 cup wine (white, red or marsala)
- 2 bay leaves
- 6 sprigs thyme
- 1/3 cup fresh basil (for garnish, optional)
- 1 pinch sea salt (+ more to taste)
