- 300 grams pork (the following, chicken or beef cuts all sliced into strips between ¼-½cm thick)
- pork belly (skin off or Neck)
- chicken breast (or Thigh, thigh is best)
- beef
- short rib
- prawns (Peeled large green)
- 2 heads lemongrass (finely chopped, otherwise lemon zest and grated ginger)
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 clove garlic (grated or minced)
- 1 tsp. five-spice (chinese)
- 2 coriander roots (keep the leaves for serving)
- 1 tsp. palm sugar (otherwise brown sugar will do)
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. oyster sauce
- 1 Tbsp. fish sauce
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 20 bamboo (skewers, soaked in water for 2-3 hours, otherwise metal ones)
- 1/2 cup coconut cream (for painting)
- steamed rice (for serving)
