A very good and simple recipe. I didn't have lemon extract and subbed true lemon and some more lemon juice. I used about a teaspoon of lemon peel versus zesting the lemon. I loved how easy it was to put together and modify. The cake baked up beautifully with a wonderful crisp outside and soft crumbly inside. Great with a cup of english breakfast tea!

Very tasty but very rich. Very good for breakfest or for a snack my boyfriend loved it. will probably make it again
