Very refreshing, though personally I do almost wish it was a bit creamier. I substituted milk for almond milk since my boyfriend is lactose intolerant. I didn't think it was too tart, even as I had forgotten the powdered sugar on top. Wish I had rememered it, but regardless it tasted great. Would make again.

This turned out absolutely delicious! We really enjoyed the slight tartness of the lemon with the sweetness of the raspberries. I took a couple liberties with the recipe such as using a Bagette for the bread, almond milk, and left off the powdered sugar.

This was tart. Definitely don't skip on the powdered sugar ! I used light agave nectar instead of maple syrup and Italian bakery bread (still hard and crusty) instead of french bread. It was edible, and good for a change. But I don't see myself revisiting or craving this recipe.

We loved the tartness of the raspberries and the sour punch of the fresh lemon juice and zest in combination with the maple syrup and powdered sugar. My bread never set in the middle which I attribute to not aging my bread long enough prior to using. I'd likely make this again as the family enjoyed it.
