Directions were confusing and they could not turn out anything like the picture with the ingredients used no matter how much food coloring you would put in it. Too chewy and didn't taste much like lemon. I'd say if you want that smooth yellow color, don't use almond meal but almond flour WITHOUT the brown casing and maybe you could get it, also add more lemon extract and a little less zest, and make sure you pipe your shells smaller than the circle made as it's more runny than most recipes. Make sure to bake on the TOP rack as they'll crack it on the bottom, just bake the two sheets separately if both don't fit. Wait to peel off until cooled or else the bottom will stick to pan (even with the parchment) :).
