I put the batter into individual cupcake cases and they turned out beautifully. When they were done I pricked all the cakes with a skewer and then poured the lemon sauce over them. They turned out so lemony and so moist. Everyone loved them. Perfect recipe!

Came out fantastic although would pierce cake in tin and add lemon drizzle while warm next time to keep it on top of the cake!

the cake was light and airy, it was easy to make for someone who isn’t a pro chef. the lemon didn’t overpower the sweet cake. it was so nice we had to take it away from my dad 🤣

Loved this! Followed the recipe exactly as it was (but with dairy free butter) and split it into 2 smaller tins. Everyone loved this!

Wonderful. I did half of the cake with the lemon drizzle and the other half without to see which texture I prefer. The one without was more fluffy inside and the one with the drizzle was a lot more of a wet consistency. Everyone loved it.

Lovely zesty lemon cake. I used dairy free margarine and it worked out really well. It’s going to be a family favourite
