I just finished the bread. I baked it in a Le Creuset baking pan and it took 80 minutes to finish at 350 degrees. If I make this bread again, I’ll butter the baking pan and instead of adding the glaze after the bread cools, I’ll puncture the top of the bread and pour a thinner glaze on the top of the bread while it is still warm so that it is absorbed into the loaf.

Absolutely delicious and a perfect spring-summer sweet bread! I made it for the first time last week for my son’s staff appreciation week at school and it was a hit! In fact, I’m on here now because I was asked if I could share the recipe with them 😃 We all loved it! Thank you!

Not sure about the bake time; I did 55 minutes and was not sure IF it was done. VERY moist. We ate as is, with no glaze, flavor was good. Might try again and extend bake time.

Love this recipe!!! Definitely needs longer baking time than 55 Mins .. Made this few times and left in for approx 10 mins longer. Make sure it cools completely in fridge .. Not at all good if even a bit warm! Great snack anytime of day!!!

More cake-like than bread-like but who cares! So moist and tasty, and very easy to make. My co-workers loved it. I ended up only getting 2 pieces for myself coz they had eaten it all!
I added an extra teaspoon of milk to the glaze mixture, to make it thinner like it is in the picture - the recipe produces a thick icing.

I made this bread yesterday and I'm not sure what went wrong. I checked and double checked the process and ingredients, and I'm sure I followed them exactly, but it took over 1.5 hrs to get it baked; I finally took it out as the bottom and sides were getting too brown, but it is dense and gummy in the middle. I've never seen this with a bread recipe before. It does taste very good, but the texture is a bit unappealing.
