- 1/2 cup fresh basil (loosely packed, fresh only!)
- 3 Tbsp. tahini (sesame paste)
- 2 cloves garlic (peeled)
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 tsp. cracked black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Spanish smoked paprika (to garnish, optional)
- 3 basil leaves (fresh whole, or ribbons)
- 1 Tbsp. toasted pine nuts (walnuts are a good choice)
