- 1/4 cup butter (softened)

- food coloring (Red and blue or purple, optional)
- 1 cup butter (softened, preferably 1/2 cup salted butter, 1/2 cup unsalted)
- 1 vanilla bean (I sell them!)
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 2 Tbsp. heavy cream
