- 4 tsp. baharat (middle eastern allspice)
- 2 tsp. black pepper (add more if you like spicy)
- 3 lb. lean ground beef (or 6 cups, 90% lean or more)
- 4 cups bulgur (/gurgur #1, you can rinse and squeeze water out but it's not necessary)
- 2 cups cream of wheat (aka farina)
- 4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. baking soda
- 3 1/2 cups ice cold water
