- 1 lb. ground lamb
- 1/2 cup minced onion (finely)
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 cup bread (fresh, ripped up, I used the hollowed out centers of my rolls)
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 4 fresh oregano (good sprigs of)
- olive oil
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 28 oz. San Marzano tomatoes (can of, juice and all)
- 1/4 cup dry red wine
- 4 fresh oregano (good sprigs)
- 4 fresh basil leaves (large)
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- salt
- pepper
- olive oil
- 4 rolls rolls (I found fresh soft egg, that were intended to be hot dog buns, perfect sized, but go with what looks good!)
- fontina cheese (sliced, a lot or a little depending on how much you love cheese. I went with a lot.)
