- 2 Tbsp. black vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp. Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry)
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil (divided)
- 6 cloves garlic (chopped, approximately 2 Tbs.)
- 1 oz. ginger root (chopped, approximately 2 Tbs.)
- 10 dried chili (cut into ½-inch pieces, approximately 3 Tbs.)
- 1 Tbsp. Sichuan peppercorns (toasted and lightly grind)
- 6 green onions (cut into ½-inch pieces, approximately ⅔ cup)
- 1/4 cup unsalted peanuts (roasted/, substitute to cashew, almond or you can omit)
- 1 tsp. sesame oil (optional)

I didn’t have Szechuan peppers, peanuts or black vinegar so I substituted ingredients but it still turned out really tasty!!!!! I added some veggies before heating the sauce.

Amazingly delicious! I added in water chestnuts, carrots, bell peppers and snow peas. A new family favorite! The chicken was tender and delicious, and the sauce was just right.
