- 4 chili peppers ( dried red Chinese or arbol, seeds removed and finely chopped*)
- 1 batch marinade (Kung Pao, see below)
- sliced green onions (optional)
- toasted sesame seeds (optional)
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch (or arrowroot powder)
- 1 Tbsp. honey
- 1 tsp. toasted sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/8 tsp. white pepper
