  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 garlic cloves (peeled and minced)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (if doing Paleo, replace with Coconut Aminos)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (replace with raw Honey or other paleo-approved sweetener and adjust amount to taste e.g. 2-3 tablespoons to begin with)
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 3 inches fresh ginger (long, thumb-size, grated, or 1/2 teaspoon ground Ginger)
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes
  • cooked rice (or cauliflower rice or Lettuce leaves for Paleo)
  • roasted sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
  • 3 green onions (or Scallions, sliced thinly)

    We tried this for the first time and it was really good! I was afraid maybe it would be too sweet, but not at all. Delicious, satisfying and easy! Alfie approved!

    Absolutely wonderful! Double the sauce! And I also recommend cooking beef hard so it has a texture contrast to the soft rice. loved!!!

    This is absolutely delicious! I only had ground ginger, and it worked fine. I doubled the sauce recipe because I’m a big sauce lover. I paired it with Asian roasted potatoes. Definitely will be making again!

    This was the perfect quick dish to throw together at the ladt minute when dinner plans have changed and its just me and the kids! I'm no professional and i really like simple directions...the less steps, the better! There was so much flavor in this dish for its simplicity. I just put the rice in my rice cooker and followed the easy steps to a quick and tasty dinner!!! Once again...my kids hail me with "Dad is a great cook!" Thanks Yummly!!

    This was delicious and quick, stuck to the recipe only added some peas and soy beans. Family approved will definitely make again.
