- 2 Tbsp. mustard seeds

- 2 Tbsp. dill seed
- 1 Tbsp. allspice berries
- 1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 12 bay leaves (crumbled)
- 1/2 pickling cucumbers (bushel, scrubbed clean and kept whole or sliced)
- 2 cups apple cider vinegar
- 2 cups white vinegar
- 4 cups water
- 5 Tbsp. pickling salt
- 3 Tbsp. pickling spice
- 2 oz. fronds (package 2-3, and stalks per jar)
- 18 red peppers (small Thai, split down the middle leaving seeds intact, 2-3 per jar)
- 30 whole garlic cloves (peeled and lightly smashed, 4-5 per jar)
