Perfect process! I take the chill off of eggs first by placing in room temp water, so they don’t crack when added to boiling water.

I have done this no less than 10 times and the eggs are perfect every time. It is totally disappointing to eat a hard boiled egg that is not cooked this way once you have used this method. As a tip: They seem to crack a bit less if they are room temperature before you put them in the water.

I’ve done these many times. These definitely come out the best compared to other methods I’ve tried. I use good quality eggs because the shell is less fragile. I put the eggs from the fridge into a bowl of warm water while I’m waiting for the pot to boil. Then I use tongs to gently place them in the pot. The temp acclimation seems to help keep the eggs from cracking when they go into the boiling pot. (When I’ve used eggs with thinner shells and put them in straight from the fridge into the boiling pot they tend to break). All in all this is a great method.

literally the worst recipe for hard boiled eggs. I followed the recipe and my eggs were mush. the yolk was still soft I thought it was going to pop.

I’m not one to review, but this one deserves it
Usually words like “greatest”, “best”, “and perfect”, end up being anything but, but these eggs actually do turn out perfect I’ve tried to boil eggs for years and years with mediocre results With this recipe and cooking instructions you can’t mess it up Once you get half the egg peeled, the other half of the shell comes off as one piece Not once have I had a shell pull off any of the egg white I will never need to look for another hack or recipe to cook the perfect hard boiled egg This is it

Happy with how they turned out cooking-wise, mixed bag for me as far as how well they peeled. Ive had 4 so far and only one peeled easily, I was surprised because I read vinegar was the key to that. Next time I'll try with running water and slightly less fresh eggs

Best hard boiled eggs ever, hands down. Every egg peeled perfectly and was impeccably cooked. I didn't do the ice bath, rather poured the hot water out and then left cold tap running in the pot for about 5 mins. Then let them sit in the fridge for about 30 mins.

Hey Ken- I made them the way you said and I took some advise from one of the reviews- cracked them after they were done cooking- put in ice water and they turned out awesome!! This works great w/ fresh eggs so you don't have to waist time waiting for them to get old! Thanks Ken!
