- 1 cucumber (small, julienne)
- 1 medium carrot (julienned)
- 4 cabbage leaves (julienned)
- 4 romaine lettuce leaves (thinly sliced)
- 6 perilla leaves (kkaennip, thinly sliced)
- 3 oz. alfalfa (and/or radish sprouts)
- 1 boiled egg (optional)
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 3 tsp. red chili pepper flakes (Korean, gochugaru, adjust to taste)
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. orange juice (or apple or any other fruit juice)
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp. mustard powder (hot, gyeoja, mixed with 2 teaspoons water, optional)
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp. sesame seeds
- pinches pepper
