I made these and they were delicious. I used anise extract for the cookie and half anise and half vanilla extracts for the icing. They were very well received by everyone who tried them. I also added these to cookie treat plates that I gave to others.

Not sure how they are supposed to taste. Mine were almost like a cookie cake. They were really good!!!!

Turned out very well, but watch the cookies to ensure that they don't burn in the oven. I took them out soft, and they hardened as they tested. Very easy and tasty

They seemed too dry for my liking, and reminded me more of biscuits than cookies. I used almond and vanilla extract in the frosting and it was delicious!!!
