- 1 poblano pepper (chopped small)
- 1 Tbsp. minced garlic (garlic from a jar is fine for this)
- 2 Tbsp. ground cumin
- 1 Tbsp. ground ancho chile pepper (or use more chili powder if you don’t have Ancho)
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- salt
- freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
- 3 cans beef broth (14 oz)
- 2 cans petite diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1 Tbsp. green Tabasco sauce (or other hot sauce, to add at the end, more or less to taste)
- 2 Tbsp. lime juice (fresh-squeezed or fresh-frozen, more or less to taste to add at the end)
