  • 1 1/2 cups pale ale beer (or apple cider to be alcohol-free)
  • 1/2 cup water (to keep the sugars from scorching on the bottom of the inner pot)
  • 1 sweet potato (medium)
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
