Delicious! I used 1 cup of brown/green lentils instead of meatless beef, and then switched out the water for 2 cups vegetable broth. I added the lentils and broth at the same time as all of the canned items.

This recipe has become a staple in our home since September 2018. Seriously the best chili ever. Just do it!

The spice combo in this dish is dynamic! I prepared 1 cup of red beans (plus 4 cups water) in my crock pot (cooked 4 hours on high); added all ingredients. Added 3 additional tsp of chili powder; one additional tsp salt.
Additionally, I used rotel diced tomatoes and green chili’s . Tossed in Beyond Meat Mexican flavored faux meat crumbles. Delicious!
