It's probably my fault but it came out too soft. I did the beans first and threw out that water and added the recommended water 2 C of water. I'll try again adding less water. Also didnt like the ginger flavor, that's different for me in rice.
...I tried it a second time. Good chew to the rice. Used 1 can of black beans and another of mixed veggies which gave color to the dish. I would increase it to 3-4 tsp salt next time. Eaten up by the family
