- 2 tsp. ground cumin
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. coriander
- 3/4 cup low sodium beef broth
- 28 oz. diced tomatoes
- 15 oz. tomato sauce
- 2 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder (this just adds a little richness)
- 1 tsp. granulated sugar
- salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- 30 oz. kidney beans (preferably one dark one light, drained and rinsed)

Great for a cold night. I added Italian sausage to give my football players more meat!

This chili turned out great. It’s just missing a little something that I’m used to from when my mom makes chili, probably just a spice or 2 to add (I do always remember the odd bay leaf making it into my bowl lol 😆). I also chopped up a Serrano pepper to spice it up! 😜

Excellent recipe, added a few additional spices (cinnamon, basil, oregano, and marjoram) and it tasted great. Will make it again.

Very good recipe. I didn't have coriander so did without and used Bush's chili beans instead of plain kidney beans. I will definitely use this again!
