- 2 Tbsp. hoisin sauce (optional but adds a wonderful sweet note)
- 2 Tbsp. minced garlic (or grated)
- 2 Tbsp. minced fresh ginger (or grated)
- 4 Tbsp. honey
- 1 Tbsp. white sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp. 5-spice powder (optional but gives wonderful flavor)
- 1 tsp. chili powder (or red pepper flakes, optional for heat)
- green onions (chopped, /scallions for garnish, optional)
- 1 Tbsp. white sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
- 1 jar butter sauce (prepared peanut)
