I made this using plain basmati that was a few days old; i just fried it in a pan with all the ingredients. It was good, but needs lemon in my opinion. I also think it could really benefit by adding some asafoetida.

Tastefully Indian. Rice is fluffy and pack with flavor. It was so good that I almost ate 1/4 of the rice dish before serving for dinner.
