As someone who has always wanted to try curry, I was expecting more. Maybe there needs to be extra ingredients because for us this looked and tasted like barf.

I LOVED this. I used ghee AND coconut oil. I cooked the onion and the garlic together, on medium low, for like 7 minutes in the ghee and oil. I used some garam masala seasoning instead of ginger, because I didn't have any. I served this with some rice and naan bread. Was super good!

This was good but not my favorite curry recipe. The end result was flavorful but I was missing the spice. Following others' suggestion I added a tablespoon of garam masala. Next time I would also add more curry powder and try adding some mustard powder, paprika, or even chipotle powder. One thing I did that is totally not the recipe's fault is adding petite diced tomatoes because I didn't have crushed. Next time I will make sure I have crushed or even just add tomato paste which I have done with other curries and enjoyed.

Great recipe I return to frequently. I like to double the chickpeas and triple the curry powder.

This is yummy and very easy to make. I didn’t have crushed tomatoes so just used diced tomatoes, and I didn’t add the spinach. Think the crushed tomatoes would help the sauce more, so the flavoring would move throughout. I did blend a few of the tomatoes to help create the crushed tomato effect. And I used light coconut milk and worked just fine. Day 2 - i upped to five stars. Really yummy. Will be gone today so next time I may double the batch. A quick, easy and really good dish

Easy to make and delicious! Appreciate the suggestion below to add garam masala. That definitely made it taste more flavorful. Added just under a tablespoon.

We really liked this but we used a combination of spices instead of curry powder. The spice combination came from Veena Azmanov's website: 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric 1 tbsp sweet or hot paprika We served it with kaju bhelpuri topped with lemon juice, tamarind chutney and chopped green onions and fresh cilantro.
