I used tomato paste and water instead of tomato sauce and it turned out great! I also recommend adding bay leaf and a few cloves to the rice as it cooks. Delish!

Quick and tasty! I cut the recipe into 1/3 to make for just one person and it worked! I’ve made quite a few recipes and they always taste like they’re missing something but this one was great. I would probably marinate the chicken still in yogurt and lemon juice if I had some extra time to do it, just to make the chicken a little more tender, but that’s just my preference.

It was awesome! I used MDH Buttered Chicken Masala spice mix instead of the dry spices listed. (A coworker suggested it) I found it at a local store “Asian Imports” but I’m sure and store that sells Indian food or ingredients would have it. I also used petite diced tomatoes and half a small can of tomato paste instead of the tomato sauce. (Also my coworkers recommendation). I also used fettuccine noodles instead of rice. 100% I’ll make this again. OH And don’t be afraid to try frozen naan with this, it’s very good.

Simple & cheap to make, used chicken breast, had no thighs, had no Naan so I made some 2 ingredient bread self raising flour & greek yogurt might even do some papadums

this is my favorite Indian dish so far. the recipe was on point. i added a bit more ginger and garlic. we've made this dish 3 times already and it was a hit with the whole family! we also purchased the garlic naan which was perfect!

Very good recipe, easy to follow, very easy to cook. The only thing I do different is add a little smoked paprika to deepen the flavor profile just a little bit more. As far as the heavy cream, I have used the full 2 cups and split 1 cup HC and 1 cuo water. I think that the full 2 cups gives the dish just a little bit more consistency for a thicker feel.

I was a bit daunted by the idea of making Indian butter chicken but this recipe made it really simple and turned out great!

Great recipe to build on and great creative with! I ended up swapping the ginger for allspice and replacing the cayenne pepper and chili powder for red chili flakes. Simply scrumptious :)

Tasty and good. Add the cream at the end to prevent it from separating out. Otherwise extremely good

Very nice. I'd add a little more garam masala, ginger, and garlic. Up the spice. And the cayenne if you need more heat.

I modified it so that it was lactose and casein free. It was delicious. I'm trying to stop myself from drinking up the sauce by the spoonful like a soup out of the serving dish.

It was absolutely delicious, turned out better than expected! I used tomato paste for mine but I think next time I'll add raw blended tomatoes.

Was nice and spicy. Definitely add salt at the end. I read the note regarding the cream after I went to the market. I would have bought low fat half n' half instead of heavy cream. I used only 1 cup of the heavy cream and added almond milk for the other 1 cup. Helped to keep the calories down. I also did not add 2 tablespoons of butter at the end. Again for calorie counting reasons. I served with rice and cauliflower. Also made lassi's as the beverage. The yogurt based drink paired well with the spicy orange sauce.

Very nice - didn’t use all the cream nor add the butter at the end Rave reviews Naan was fantastic though needed a lot more flour than recipe said - about a cup more
