Another winner, and makes a large amount too. Just for kicks tried one pound ground beef and one pound ground bison. Couldn't really tell though, so I'd go just beef if I make it again. Instead of the gruyere cheese I used colby jack just because I had a bag of it in the fridge. I'd not seen the brown sugar combined with onion before, that turned out well. the store did not have onion rolls, so had to use potato rolls instead.
