Delicious!! My husband loved it. I’d change the bay leaf and thyme for caraway, nutmeg and cumin, and also added carrots and red bell pepper, yummy

It isn't Hungarian goulash, it is a beef stew.
Goulash is a kind of soup with beef or dried bean.

Absolutely amazing. I have had authentic Hungarian goulash while working with an officer in the Hungarian Army and this was identical. We doubled the recipe and still sadly there are no leftovers. My 3 yr old sister even ate seconds.

Deep and rich taste, definitely go lighter on the flour. Very good, especially when in a slow cooker. Recommended.

I agree with using 1/4 cup of flour. It was a great dish for being as simple as it is.
