Wanted to try a different hummus recipe, so tried this one, which doesn't use tahini. Not bad, but there was too much garlic and lemon for my taste, which I never thought I would hear myself say! Probably because the recipe calls for 2 cups of chick peas, but a can is 1.5 cups, so you have to make an adjustment. I guess I could make my own chick peas, but no-salt added canned peas are so much easier. A good recipe to use in case I run out of tahini (with the proper adjustments), but will go back to my go-to tahini-based recipe for now.

fantastic! quick and easy...but it doesn't last long, so plan on a second batch real soon!

I made this without Tahini (didn’t have) and extra spices (next time). Just simple hummus with extra garlic, extra fresh lemon juice, Olive oil, and salt. Simple as can be and DELICIOUS! I had trouble finding the basic recipe anywhere Thank you!

Yummy! I ended up adding more garlic and lemon, also added smoke praprika and a bit of coriander! So delish!

wonderful and simple. i made 2 batches adding diced tomato to one and diced purple onion to the other. but awesome just as is.

Loved it ! My family found it too garlic-y/lemon-y, so if you're not a fan you can use less.

Great!
Was looking for a recipe that didn’t require tahini as I did not have any on hand. I
really liked the little bit of heat the cayenne gave it.
Added this to my goto recipes. Would definitely make it again.

I made it according my taste with a few changes but it turned out quite delicious

It turned out nice but the taste of uncooked chickpeas was still a little overpowering for me. I added one tablespoon of cumin and used tahina paste instead of sesame seed oil.
Good stuff!

Consistency was perfect, but it was too garlicky with three cloves. I still eat it, but it’s too overpowering for some. Maybe just one clove?

Dear Jennifer:
This recipe is just fabulous and I only changed the type of beans and used what I had. Cannelini beans and I just had a taste with the young adults and they loved it. I'm waiting until it cools a bit before I serve it with Stacy's Naked Chips. Thanks for a great recipe and instructions.

Love it. I added red pepper flakes for more of a kick. I also used prepared lemon juice but it didn't take away from the taste.
