Be sure to continue to knead the dough. It’ll feel really dry and crumbly to work with, add more milk if it’s really too dry

Absolutely wonderful!. I loved the results. After making the individual discs themselves, I had trouble keeping the size I originally made them because they kept shrinking. Regardless, the results were perfectly splendid. I will definitely be using this recipe for years to come.

Easy to make but yes, need to allot time because the dough is so buttery you’ll need to chill it every now and then or risk having it melt in your hands worth the effort though!

Great, easy-to-follow recipe! The dough was easy to work with and my empanadas turned out beautiful.

This dough came together quickly and baked up flaky, with enough heft to hold each empanada together. I egg-washed each one before baking and that helped to brown them nicely.
I followed the recipe as recommended for refrigerating before baking and baking time.
I had to experiment with size and thickness to see what worked, as well as how best to seal each one. Fresh out of the oven, they were really good. However, reheating in the oven a few days later, they actually tasted better!
I’ll definitely be making these again!
