I love this recipe, hotteoks are my go-to pastry when I have friends come over, it never turns out badly 🙂 I usually add a pinch of nutmeg to the filling to bring out the flavour.

I love making 호떡 in the winter, though the first few times figuring out the right amount of dough was tricky. Also the dough is incredibly sticky so it’s good to liberally oil your hands! The filling is extremely customizable. While i super enjoy the brown sugar cinnamon, these are also delicious with bananas and cinnamon, peanuts and cinnamon, and ham and cheese! I’ve also eaten them with 잡채 noodles before, but haven’t tried making them that way yet. All in all, a very delicious recipe!
