I tried this recipe twice. The first time I went exactly by the recipe and it didn’t turn out quite right. It was okay, but it wasn’t what I was expecting. I did like the taste of the cream/milk/butterscotch mixture so I decided to try it again. I made some changes the second time around. Instead of 1c of cream halved, I used 1c for whipping as a topping & I added 1/4c of powdered sugar & 2tsp of vanilla to it. I used 1/2c in the mixture that was to be heated on the stove. Yes, that’s a lot of cream lol.
My mom and I don’t care for cream soda so we let the kids have that & we added Black Rifle Coffee (the Silencer Smooth blend) to ours, topped with cream & drizzled with butterscotch topping. It was amazing!
