This was so good. Everyone loved it. I used 8oz of lump crab and 8oz of imitation crab. I also used Trader Joe’s green dragon sauce instead of Tabasco and I added crushed red pepper and black pepper. It had great spice and the flavor wasn’t too heavy with cheese and richness.

We were happy with this recipe and it was a big hit with our guests, too. It has a nice amount of crab and although there's plenty of dairy it's not overly cheesy. We customized a little: We used full-fat ingredients, not reduced fat as the recipe indicated. We added a teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning and stirred in some green onion. Also added a about a layer of a half-cup of cheddar cheese on top.

Left out the artichoke and hot sauce and chives and substituted parsley and mozzarella cheese. Delicious!

I doubled mayo and sour cream. It seemed to not be so spreadable without more of these two ingredients.
