I decided to try baking this in a bread machine. But being no scientist, I introduced other variables to confuse things. I substituted one cup of whole wheat into the 3 cups of flour. I threw in an egg because why not? I had too many eggs lying around. I stuck with the rest of the ingredients as written. I threw in the water, yogurt and egg and honey, then the flour salt and yeast. I selected whole wheat setting and 1.5 pound size. As the machine mixed, I could see that it was too wet so kept adding flour, probably 1/2 cup in total. Then I just let it do its thing. It actually came out very well.
