After my third time making these tamales, I have become somewhat proficient at making the actual masa blend and putting everything in the corn husk. I believe this is the perfect recipe for anyone who believes that tamales are too daunting a task to take on. Not only was this recipe easy, but it was very good. It provides the bases for you to then venture out and create your own tamale filling. We actually seed then smoke jalapeños and stuff the tamales with that and cheese. The smoked jalapeños give a wonderful taste. I will continue to use this very handy recipe. Thanks for the in-depth information
