Nice! I cooked cut up bacon before I threw in the onions to crispy. And I used italian seasoning instead of basil

My go- to spaghetti sauce recipe. Soooo good! The only change I make is to add about a cup of water before simmering, that way if it cooks for another hour or so the consistency is not too thick.

I added some beef bullion bc the kids said it was missing something. otherwise it works. I made a triple batch to freeze.

I added a few extra ingredients like olives and fresh tomatoes but loved the recipe and it was easy to make

It turned out great! What flavor! And I used lots of frozen tomatoes from our garden. The only change I made was to eliminate the fennel, because I didn’t have any. I’m sure I will make this again!

I added sweet peppers, a pound of beef, and a pound of ilalian sausage. I also added bay leaves and a couple of extra tablespoons of sugar. Turned out great. Slow cooked in crock for 8 hours.

Added ground beef, bell peppers, and mushrooms, and a couple more teaspoons of sugar!! I also cooked on stove first, then moved it to my crockpot! It was delicious!!! It makes a lot!!! I have plenty to freeze and plenty to give out to family!!

I have made this recipe several times. With meat, without, with bay leaves and without. Great base to start with and you can add or delete items to your liking. Way better than store purchased sauce!

Pretty ok. Would make again. Feels like it was missing something. Maybe I needed to flavor more? Wasn’t able to put in as much fresh basil and oregano as I wanted

There only change I made was to add 1# of ground beef and 1/2 # Italian sausage, which I cooked with the onions. Delicious recipe for sauce which I will make again and again.

Amazeballs!!! I grew up hating spaghetti sauce, learned to love it as I got older. My daughter apparently has the same taste I do because she doesn't like red sauce. After I told her I made her this one because its different, the kid actually ate it and is demanding I make it again. So this will be our 2nd time making it. Kudos, Author!

This will be my go-to sauce from this day on! It’s delicious and reminds me of the sauce I grew up with.

I’ve made this sauce a couple of times and my family has complimented it both times! I followed the recipe exactly, except for adding some grated Parmesan cheese mixed in the sauce as it cooked. Delicious!

Savory and a deep red. I substituted crushed tomatoes with Romas, blanched and roasted with red peppers, along with adding mushrooms. Great sauce and will make again. Made STAY AT HOME CHEF's meatballs, excellent combination!
