    Made enough for 2 casserole dishes. Froze 1. Did increased 3/4 cup carrots. Added seasonings to beef: beef bouillon, oregano, garlic granular, onion powder, (all by eye),1/4 tsp chili powder, 2 tsp liquid smoke, and Tbsp Worcester sauce. 3 large russets for potatoes.

    Made a few recipes for Shepard’s Pie over the years.. hands down the best one yet! Kids had seconds. Highly recommended.
    Good, added 1 can of mixed beans, 1 can cannellini beans, 1 can chick peas, also doubled the recipe and made 2

    Great taste, but twice as much potatoes as it should’ve been. Added thyme and garlic to the meat mixture and no garlic to the potatoes....good choice

    Of course, this is properly Cottage Pie since it contains no lamb. I swapped out the corn for peas, but otherwise pretty much stuck to the recipe as given.

    This was good- but I followed previous posters suggestions and upped the seasoning. i added extra worchestire sauce, a bit of garlic powder and pepper to the meat. I also added a whole onion to the meat while browning it. I would make again! Everyone liked it.

    Great! Potato’s very sticky too sticky. Substitute sour cream with milk and butter or margarine.
