I made this recipe for my family and it was way too sweet. It was more like a sweet potato soup. Nobody out of eight people liked it. We put chicken broth in it, and it made it a little better, but I would not recommend.

My family loves this recipe. I like my soup a little thick so I cook it a little longer so the potatoes break down.

This was awesome. I haven’t been feeling well and wanted a soup something easy on my stomach. I made this dish, adding a few extra seasonings and it was delicious.

Amazing! I added carrot slices as well as my favorite seasonings to the potato mix. Seasonings:garlic powder, oregano, and just a sprinkle of cumin. Adds a kick at the end for sore throats and stuffy noses!

This is an excellent “back to basics” recipe. Creamy, smooth and simply delicious. If you love old fashioned potato soup without all the frills, you need to try this recipe, you won’t be disappointed!

Really easy recipe!!
I didn't have any evaporated milk so after I boiled the potatoes and other veggies, I took out some of the water and used milk with full cream. Maybe not as tick as intended but really good, especially with bacon and cheese!!

Turned out to be a thick, creamy soup with really nice flavor! My family is not a huge fan of onions OR celery, so we skipped those altogether and used straight chicken broth instead of water. We also substituted flour with Wondra. At the end, we found adding a small amount of garlic salt to our bowl really pulled it all together! If the recipe called for all that, I'd give it 5 stars!

It was delicious!! First time making potato soup from scratch and it turned out great!!
Made a few adjustments though but it was great!
